Giving without expecting is wrong?

 

People will tell you that because you believe in giving unconditionally, without expecting anything in return, that because you refuse to draw lines as to how much, when, how long you will give, or to whom you will give; that you follow a cruel and narcissistic deity. And they will tell you that this is the reason you know nothing of family, social, or financial values.

Give anyway.
Give unconditionally.
Give without expecting the same back, and without expecting anything in return.
Give with out condition, qualification, or obligation.

Just give, filled to the top, pressed down, shaken up, and running over.

Do this, not because you have to, not because you were commanded to, or even because that is what Jesus did.

Do it because someone asked...

The sad part of this is-
It is not the world who will say these things to you.
It is not the world who will accuse, malign, and attack you for this.

It is "Christians".

Yes you read that right, "Christians will hate you for giving.

This is exactly what happened to me today.
I was literally told by a "Christian" that I follow a cruel and narcissistic deity, and I know nothing of love or family values.

I left them with God's blessing, blocked them, and left the conversation peacefully.

I have more giving, compassion, mercy, comfort, and love to spread for my cruel and narcissistic deity...
I have no time to waste on such delusional conversations.

I will give until I have nothing left to give, then I will give of myself and my time; until my time is over and myself has returned to the ground I was created from.

And then I will go to see in person if my deity is cruel and narcissistic.

And just for the sake of argument, say I get there and find my deity doesn't even exist, narcissistic or not.

What then?

Did I do all that giving, compassion, mercy, comforting, and loving, for nothing?

No, I didn't. 

Even if my deity don't exist (my deity does exist; but that's another story for another time), I would still do all that giving, compassion, mercy, comforting, and loving unconditionally, without expecting anything in return, for anyone who asks, whenever they ask.

Why???

Because they asked.

And because regardless who says what, and regardless if there is or is not a deity; giving, compassion, mercy, comforting, and loving without expecting the same in return or expecting repayment are not wrong!

We Are Not Powerless Over Addiction

 

We are powerless over our addiction only so long as we allow addiction power over us. 

Power is ours to weild or bow to as we wish.

I realized something years ago, drink, smoke, and pills were merely objects, products that I consumed, took into my body. 

Sometimes they made me feel good, other times, quite the opposite. 

Feel good or not; they were only products.

These products had no mind, no will, no authority in and/or of themselves; therefore they held no power over me.
The only power existing belonged to me. That power was only able to be used against me as a result of my own relinquishment of that power to inanimate objects, or products.

I took that power back that day all those years ago, it rightfully and naturally belonged to me. And it has not been weilded against me again since.

An Experiment In Power

 Do you believe in Jesus? Have you accepted Jesus into your heart? Are you a Christian?

Have you come to hear how Jesus love has set you free, and guaranteed you a spot at the feast table beside him in his kingdom?

I'm sorry. I apologize; this post is not for you. 

You already have that which you seek. This post is for those who have never witnessed, or experienced the power of simply speaking a word, but not just any word, this word; JESUS!

This post is for those who do not believe.

I am not asking those of you who do not believe, to change and now believe, you don't need to believe for this experiment. Just perform the experiment with an open mind; then make your own determination after. 

If after performing the experiment, you still see no evidence of power, change, or Jesus himself, and you remain an unbeliever; then I defend and support your unbelief with all that I am. 

I will not end my belief, or suddenly not like you any more. I will not tell you that you're going to hell; because I don't believe that anyway. I will simply stand by your unbelief.

Here's the experiment

When something bad comes into your life [sickness, poverty, grief, fear, anger, nightmare, night terrors,  robbery, sadness, etc.], speak the word Jesus (You don't need to associate the word with the person or God entity of Jesus; for this experiment it is a word only). If you are not able to speak it, keep trying until you can, if you still can't, then think the word Jesus. You need not pray, that would be a request of a person or entity, and therefore; belief. You are not a believer, All you need do is speak the word; Jesus.

Did the problem cease or ease up? If the problem ceased, good, try again with the next problem, see if it works more than once (is it just luck or coincidence?). If the problem only eased up, say Jesus again, see if it eases more, or ceases with repeated utterance's of the word.

Did the problem worsen, or did the problem not change at all?

If the problem persists or worsens; you can take it as proof that there is no power in the word, and Jesus is not real. And I will admit that I have failed to prove Jesus existence; to you.

Regardless of the results, you do not, under any circumstance, have to believe. Unless of course; you do.

As for me, I do believe. I have no choice, I have to. I have personally observed, experienced, and wielded the power of this word (But those are stories for other posts). The only word in existence in the entire universe, or history for which negativity, badness, darkness, and evil simply cannot continue within the presence of this word.

Upon speaking, or simply thinking this word, bad becomes good, dark becomes light, sad becomes happy, rain stops, attacks end, tragedies are interrupted, and stopped; negative becomes positive.

Simply say Jesus; and failure will become success.

Greatest Man

To hear Donald Trump tell it; he himself is the greatest man to ever walk this earth.....

Why I wear the hat

Make America Great Again.
No four words have ever made people as angry, uncomfortable, or fearful as these for words.
When people are faced with someone wearing a hat with these words, they say they are in fear, they say that these words mean the person wearing them is a Trump supporter, a racist, a white supremacist.
They say this hat is the equivilant of the white hood of the KKK, or the Nazi swastika.

Believe it or not, these four words "Make America Great Again" were not coined or thought up by Donald Trump.
It might surprise you to learn that those words, that phrase was plagerized from another man. Another man who, for a Republican; was a Truely Great United States President.
Lots greater than Donald Trump.
The true originator of the phrase "Make America Great Again" was none other than Ronald Reagon.

I was out and about town today getting things done that needed done.
At one of these stops, one of the employees, while on smoke break seemed to have taken quite an interest in my car.
I watched while I waited, and when the employee come back in, she asked if that was my car with the Make America Great Again hat on the dash. I told her it was. She said "so you're a Trump supporter then"? I said "no, I'm a Democrat. I don't believe in him, I believe in America". She said "oh" and went about her bussiness.

It always puzzles me. Not one place on my hat, or any MAGA hat indicates support for Trump, except for the ones out now that have Trump 2020 on them; yet everyone assumes that anyone wearing the hat is a Trump supporter and an evil person.
Actually I didn't even buy my hat from Trumps store. I bought my hat from an online supplier completly unaffiliated with Trump so that my money would not be used for his purposes, or support him in any way.

I don't wear the hat for Trump, or to support Trump. I don't even wear the hat for the true originator of the words, Ronald Reagon, or to support him.
I, and even most Trump supporters wear the hat, and proudly display the words for one reason; and one reason only. We wear the hat to support America; because we believe in America.

Make America Great Again has nothing to do with Donald Trump, or Ronald Reagon. Make America Great Again has nothing to do with white supremacist, nazis, racism, or hate. Make America Great Again doesn't even have anything to do with Republicans, Democrats, or great men.
Make America Great Again is about America. It's about how Americans used to be united, in spite of religious, cultural, or party differences.

Make America Great Again is all about remembering a time when Americans were a kinder, gentler, more compassionate people. It is about yearning for that again.
Make America Great Again is about believing in the ability of Americans to finally see past Donald Trump, Hillary Clinton, Mitch McConnell, and Maxine Waters, and reach down deep inside themselves; and once again be the America that was loved, honored, respected, and desired by all the people of the world.

Make America Great Again is not a Republican, or Trump supporter exclusive. Make America Great Again can be worn with pride. It can be worn with pride by both Republicans and Democrats. It can be worn by independents, Blacks, Whites, Latinos, Women, Men, etc....

I am a Democrat. I love America. I also love a lot of Trump supporters; even though we don't always agree. And I proudly wear my Make America Great Again hat; with my Pete Buttigieg shirt.

Come on America. Forget Trump, Clinton, and all the others who would devide us.

All will live

Jesus died that all may live.
All means all.
Everyone from Saint Peter to Adolph Hitler; Mother Theresa to Donald Trump.

Because Jesus died; all will live.
How they live will determine the reward they receive.

All will live.
Some will live ruling with Jesus.
Some will live being ruled by those ruling with Jesus.

All will live.
The greatest will be least; and the least will be greatest.

All will live.
Not nessesarily as they expect.

Jesus already determined with his death that all will live.

They must determine with their works, or lack of such; how they will live.

All will live.
Will they live inside with Jesus; or outside without Jesus?

Friends come to Oil City

Oil City officially has some new friends in town.

The Religious Society of Friends, or Quakers to be more precise.

What started out as an exploratory meeting to determine interest in, and feasability of starting a new Quaker meeting in the Oil City/Franklin area has produced positive results, and Oil City will now be home to a new weekly Quaker meeting.

The meetings will be of the unprogramed model, and will take place on 7th day (Saturdays) starting Oct 12th from 6:00 pm thru 7:30 pm at the Open Door Cafe at 405 East Second Street in Oil City.
